Short-Form Creative Editor

SMB Team is seeking a Short-Form Creative Editor to take end-to-end ownership of our short-form video production. You will make sure every Reel, Short, and TikTok we deliver is creatively compelling, trend-aligned, and on schedule.

This role bridges AI content creation tools and strategic creative execution. Through AI-accelerated workflows, fast-paced editing, trend-jacking, and careful quality assurance (QA), you will raise the standard of our short-form video products, take volume off our senior video team, and move our video operations from reactive to proactive, delivering social content that drives client retention and value.

The base salary for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form video fast: turn raw client AI Avatar footage into engaging Reels, Shorts, and TikToks on schedule.
• Use AI tools to speed up production: work with platforms such as HeyGen, CapCut AI, and ElevenLabs without sacrificing creative quality.
• Own the creative execution: keep our video products fresh, high-quality, and consistent across clients.
• Stay ahead of trends: research platform algorithms, viral audio, and trending formats, and apply them to client content.
• Protect quality through QA: check brand alignment, audio balance, caption accuracy, and formatting before anything is delivered.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience editing short-form social media video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).

• Hands-on experience using AI content generation and video creation tools in your daily workflow.

• A portfolio showing fast-paced editing, strong hook strategies, dynamic captions, and creative AI integration.

• AI tool proficiency: aptitude for adopting and mastering modern AI video, audio, image, and text platforms.

• Social media and trend instincts: deep understanding of short-form algorithms, pacing, visual hooks, and audience retention.

• Detail-oriented QA: a sharp eye and ear for audio mix, visual bugs, AI artifact cleanup, framing issues, and graphic typos.

• Agility and proactivity: high responsiveness and eagerness to test new tools, iterate fast, and continuously improve the final product.

• A demonstrated portfolio of short-form edits with clear use or understanding of AI-assisted tools, and a strong commitment to high QA standards and fast turnaround at the same time.
