Job Description - Node.js & React Developer

Experience: 6-8 Years Role Level: Mid-Level / Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Node.js & React Developer with 6-8 years of software development experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications.

The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, React.js, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, Microsoft Azure, and Azure Service Bus. Experience with NestJS and Next.js will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js.

· Build responsive and reusable frontend applications using React.js.

· Develop and integrate secure REST APIs and microservices.

· Design and implement solutions following Microservices Architecture principles.

· Develop asynchronous and event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus.

· Work with Azure Service Bus Queues, Topics, and Subscriptions.

· Integrate applications with internal and external systems.

· Deploy and support applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.

· Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.

· Implement proper exception handling, logging, monitoring, retries, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.

· Troubleshoot application, API, integration, and production issues.

· Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

· Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable code.

· Work closely with Architects, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

· Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Node.js / Backend

· Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.

· Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.

· Experience developing enterprise-grade REST APIs.

· Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven applications.

· Experience with authentication, authorization, validation, and API security.

· Understanding of API versioning, error handling, logging, and performance optimization.

React.js / Frontend

· Strong experience with React.js.

· Good understanding of React Hooks, component-based architecture, and state management.

· Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.

· Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

· Ability to develop reusable and maintainable UI components.

Microservices

· Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.

· Experience building independently deployable services.

· Understanding of service-to-service communication.

· Experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.

· Knowledge of distributed application concepts such as:

o Retry mechanisms

o Timeouts

o Circuit breakers

o Idempotency

o Eventual consistency

o Fault tolerance

Microsoft Azure

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly:

· Azure Service Bus

· Azure App Service

· Azure Functions

· Azure API Management

· Azure Storage

· Azure Key Vault

· Azure Application Insights / Azure Monitor

The candidate should have a good understanding of:

· Azure Service Bus Queues

· Topics and Subscriptions

· Publish/Subscribe patterns

· Dead-letter queues

· Message retries

· Duplicate message handling

· Message processing failures

· Idempotent message consumers

Database Experience

Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases such as:

· SQL Server

· PostgreSQL

· MySQL

· MongoDB

Good understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and data access patterns.

DevOps & Engineering Practices

· Experience with Git-based source control.

· Understanding of branching and Pull Request workflows.

· Exposure to Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience with unit and integration testing.

· Understanding of secure coding and code-quality practices.

· Experience working across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Good to Have

· Experience with NestJS.

· Experience with Next.js.

· Docker and containerized applications.

· Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service.

· Azure API Management.

· Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.

· OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect.

· CQRS and Event-Driven Architecture.

· Redis / distributed caching.

· Terraform or Bicep.

· Experience with monitoring, distributed tracing, and observability.

Required Experience

· 6-8 years of overall software development experience.

· Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and React.js.

· Experience building enterprise-grade applications.

· Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.

· Practical experience with Azure Service Bus.

· Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
