Mechanical technician

Position Prerequisites

Location: Beihai, Guangxi

Education:. College degree or above in electromechanical, automation, equipment, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in industrial plant

Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation installation and maintenance experience.

Skills :

• Maintenance of chemical rotating equipment: Equipment alignment, pipeline disassembly & assembly, leak sealing, replacement of valves, storage tanks and sealing components.
• Drawing reading: Able to interpret P&ID process piping diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings and equipment structure drawings; understand basic electrical schematics, and read equipment and maintenance manuals.
• Practical mechanical maintenance skills: Equipment disassembly, assembly and inspection; precision measurement with dial indicator, torque wrench, spirit level and caliper; proficient in basic fitter work. Pipeline work, welding and hoisting experience are preferred.
• Utility equipment: Familiar with maintenance of utility systems including circulating water, steam, compressed air and chilled water; understand chemical plant utility systems.
• Computer operation skills.

• Good at independent work and problem-solving, diligent and honest, with team spirit.
• Good communication skills and coordination drive.

Major Accountabilities

• Attend company/the group/government EHS-related training and keep training records.
• Strictly comply with factory safety, environmental protection, occupational health, and security regulations and the Employee Code.

• If a safety and environmental accident occur in plant, this position must participate in the emergency response according to the emergency plan.
• If equipment, instrument, DCS, electronic system break down, emergency maintenance should be carried out according to emergency repair procedures.
• Implement equipment and facility maintenance plans on time.
• Implement routine inspections, equipment and facility faults are promptly and fundamentally resolved.
• During maintenance work, strictly implement work permit systems, such as LOTO procedures, hot work permits, and confined space entry permits
• For equipment and facility issue, participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in engineering improvement project, supporting project performance about safety, quality and effectiveness.
• Monitor engineering contractors EHS & Q performance to meet standards.
• Management and coordination of utilities related to water, electricity, and steam to continuously save costs.
• Actively respond to maintenance needs from other departments， and keep polite, effective, and honest communication.
