Techinical / Solution Architect

SonSoft Inc. is a USA based corporation duly organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Georgia. SonSoft Inc is growing at a steady pace specializing in the fields of Software Development, Software Consultancy, and Information Technology Enabled Services.

A Solution Architect, with hands-on technical skills as Java/J2EE Technical Architect, for providing & evaluating architectural strategy, providing technical leadership, and subject matter expertise. This includes (but not limited to) researching, evaluating, comparing Technology Solutions options for customer's problems.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture assessment, strategy definition -
• Current state assessment
• Gap Analysis
• Future state recommendations
• Roadmap
• Architecture document artifacts - Create & manage software architecture in SAD. Document non-functional requirements for quality attributes.
• Technology leadership & mentoring -
• Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews
• Provide technical leadership at all levels during execution - through mentoring, forums & consultation.
• Technology Options generation - pros, cons & recommendations.
• PoC execution & ownership - for new technology options / solutions.
• Define standard & best practices.
• Assisting with ROM estimates - with PM, tech lead & others.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Participate in evaluation, finalization of architecture strategy
• Provide & evaluate solutions and roadmaps when providing architectural recommendations
• Define re-usable architectural building blocks / solutions
• Ability to provide technical leadership to implement this new Architecture Strategy ("Lead by own example" whenever needed)
• Perform design reviews to ensure adherence to Architecture Strategy
• Managing stakeholder expectations - including customers, tech leads, team-members, internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate, learn, adopt new technologies (Especially in the cloud space)
• Define standards, policies, guidelines and best practices for project teams to follow

Requirements - Technology skillset:

• Java/J2EE, Web-services (SOAP / REST), Java/J2EE Design Patterns, Cloud Frameworks (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Microservices Architecture (with all relevant patterns - circuit breaker, API gateway etc.), Spring Framework, Spring Boot;
• Oracle DB, SQL Server;
• Websphere App Server (WAS), JBoss Enterprise App Platform (EAP 6.3)

• Solutioning (product evaluations, architecture evaluation & comparisons)
• Experience with Cloud Foundry (Pivotal).
• Good Java Technical architecture exposure.
• Hand-on Java/J2EE exposure
• Application Architect/Design in a multi-tier environment
• Experience with Legacy systems migration / conversion is a well-deserved plus.
