Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Google Workspace Deployment Engineer with strong expertise in deploying, configuring, and supporting Google Workspace solutions in enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong customer-facing technical consulting background and hands-on experience across Google Workspace applications and administration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, execute, and support Google Workspace deployments and configurations for enterprise customers.
- Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate Google Workspace solutions.
- Configure and manage Google Workspace applications, including :
i. Gmail
ii. Google Calendar
iii. Google Drive and Editors
iv. Google Sites
v. Google Chat
vi. Google Meet
vii. Mobile access
- Support user provisioning, configuration, access management, and organizational policies.
- Assist customers with migration, deployment, and adoption of Google Workspace services.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to Google Workspace applications, user access, security, and configurations.
- Provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations to customers.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and support teams to resolve complex customer issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment plans, configuration guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Conduct customer walkthroughs, technical sessions, and training as required.
- Ensure deployments follow Google Workspace best practices, security standards, and customer requirements.
- Support post-deployment activities, optimization, and ongoing administration.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Experience in a customer-facing technical consulting or engineering role.
- Hands-on experience in Google Workspace deployment, administration, and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of :
i. Gmail
ii. Google Calendar
iii. Google Drive and Google Editors
iv. Google Sites
v. Google Chat
vi. Google Meet
vii. Google Workspace mobile access
- Experience supporting enterprise users and troubleshooting Google Workspace issues.
- Strong understanding of user management, access controls, organizational units, groups, and Workspace policies.
- Good understanding of enterprise IT environments and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Strong communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work directly with customers and translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
Good to Have :
- Google Workspace Administrator certification.
- Experience with Google Admin Console.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace security, compliance, and data-management capabilities.
- Experience with user/data migration from Microsoft 365, Exchange, or other collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Identity and endpoint/mobile management.
- Experience with scripting or automation for Google Workspace administration.
- ITIL or other relevant IT service-management knowledge.
