Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake + Python Developer with 5+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse, Advanced SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable data solutions, building data pipelines, and working with cloud-based data warehouse platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
- Write robust and reusable Python scripts and applications for data processing and automation.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for loading and transforming data in Snowflake.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
- Optimize Snowflake queries, workloads, and data models for performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline, SQL, and application-related issues.
- Develop automated processes using Python to improve data engineering workflows.
- Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Support production deployments and resolve data-related issues.
- Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, SQL processes, and solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of IT experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and complex query development.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts.
- Good understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
- Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with data integration and orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise data engineering projects.
