About the Role
SS&C Financial Services (Ireland) Limited are seeking candidates with a strong fund accounting background for a Director level role in its Dublin office. The Fund Accounting Director is responsible for leadership and oversight within the Fund Accounting team, as well as playing a lead role in the strategic direction of fund accounting operations within the Dublin office.
The role has overall responsibility for the accuracy, quality and timely delivery of NAVs, financial reporting and Irish regulatory reporting, while maintaining a strong control environment and ensuring compliance with local regulatory, accounting and client requirements.
Successful candidates are expected to combine strong technical fund-accounting expertise with people leadership, client management, operational risk management and strategic transformation skills, with a strong focus on automation.
The position typically involves significant interaction with senior client stakeholders, auditors, depositaries, investment managers, regulators, compliance, risk, technology, and other operational functions
What You Will Get to Do:
Act as the lead Fund Accounting contact for a number of strategic hedge fund clients.
Manage a team of experienced staff to ensure high-quality client service, and that all client deliverables for the team are completed and delivered on time, to the highest standard and in line with service level agreements and procedures.
Oversee the Professional Development of direct reports.
Act as a member of the Dublin senior leadership team, contributing to the broader strategy, governance and development of the business
Act as a point of escalation for complex issues which arise in the team
Build strong partnerships across Investor Services, Operations, Technology, Risk/Compliance and other global functions to deliver consistent client and business outcomes
Represent the Dublin fund accounting team on key global strategic initiatives
Lead strategic initiatives that improve scalability, operational resilience, client experience and efficiency
What You Will Bring:
Extensive experience within fund accounting, fund administration, asset servicing or investment operations, including significant senior-management experience.
A relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CAIA, CFA, and CIMA is desirable.
The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in several of the following:
- Senior leadership within Fund accounting or Audit
- NAV oversight and fund accounting controls
- undefinedIrish Regulatory reporting (MMIF, SPV/FVC, DIFR)
- Audit and financial reporting oversight Designated Activity Company (DAC) products
