Profile match
State Street is an American financial institution founded in Boston in 1792 and one of the oldest banks in the United States, though its modern business bears little resemblance to retail banking. It is one of the three dominant global custodians, holding trillions of dollars of assets in safekeeping for institutional investors and providing the fund accounting, administration and settlement infrastructure that asset managers depend on. Its investment arm State Street Global Advisors created the first American exchange traded fund with the SPDR S&P 500 Trust and remains one of the largest index managers in the world.

Who we are looking for:

Responsible for the end-to-end preparation, analysis, and delivery of periodic (quarterly, semi-annual, annual and ad hoc) financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and client-specific reporting standards for alternative investment funds and registered funds, including Hedge, Private Equity, Fund-of-Funds, and other investment structures.

Why this role is important to us:

The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Delivery (SSGD). SSGD gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, SSGD’s tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.

Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of general ledger balances, identify exceptions or discrepancies, and drive issue resolution with internal applicable parties.

  • Draft financial statements disclosures in compliance with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP requirements.
  • Adhere to established financial reporting procedures, complete all required task lists, and obtain appropriate sign-offs in accordance with internal policies.
