Salesforce QA - Team Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our Salesforce platform and associated business applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong Salesforce testing expertise with automation capabilities and a passion for continuous quality improvement.

This role will be responsible for executing and automating test scenarios, defining quality standards, shaping QA strategy, validating releases, and establishing quality metrics across Salesforce solutions supporting business-critical processes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining platform stability while enabling rapid delivery of new capabilities through Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance Execution

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate business processes implemented within Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud.
• Ensure complete coverage across user stories, enhancements, defects, integrations, and releases.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.

Test Automation

• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks with a preference for Tricentis Tosca.
• Develop reusable automated test assets to improve release quality and reduce regression testing effort.
• Integrate automation testing into CI/CD and release pipelines.
• Continuously evaluate opportunities to increase automated test coverage and improve efficiency.
• Support API testing and integration validation for connected enterprise applications.

QA Strategy and Governance

• Define and drive QA standards, processes, and best practices across Salesforce initiatives.
• Establish testing methodologies and quality gates within Agile delivery teams.
• Promote shift-left testing and continuous quality engineering principles.
• Drive root cause analysis for recurring defects and quality issues.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and solution reviews to ensure testability.

Release Validation

• Lead release validation activities for Salesforce deployments.
• Ensure all release criteria and quality gates are met prior to production deployment.
• Coordinate regression testing and release readiness activities across stakeholders.
• Support production validation and post-release verification activities.

Quality Metrics and Reporting

• Define and track quality KPIs and release metrics.
• Prepare executive quality reports highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor automation coverage, defect leakage, escaped defects, and release stability.
• Recommend improvements based on quality data and testing insights.

AI-Assisted Quality Engineering

• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test case creation and maintenance.
• Utilize generative AI capabilities to improve test design, coverage analysis, and defect identification.
• Evaluate emerging AI-enabled testing techniques and recommend adoption opportunities.
• Contribute to establishing best practices for responsible AI use within testing workflows.

Basic Qualifications:

· 5-8 years of software testing experience.

· Minimum 3 years of Salesforce platform testing experience.

· Hands-on experience testing Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementations.

· Experience supporting Agile software delivery teams.

· Proven experience executing end-to-end test cycles and release validation activities.

Skills Needed:

· Understanding of Salesforce Security Model including Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing

· Salesforce capabilities in Case , Account , Contact and Opportunity Management

· Test Automation tools (Tricentis Tosca preferred)

· Test automation framework design

· Regression automation

· End-to-end automation execution

· Test data preparation and management

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced

environment.

Experience in dealing with ambiguous and undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.

Experience With Financial Services Cloud

Knowledge of non-functional testing
