They are looking for a mid-level Java developer who is comfortable not just with traditional backend work, but also with integrating AI tools like Claude or Cline into their daily workflow to keep things moving efficiently.
What you will actually be doing:
Designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications and distributed microservices.
Building secure, reliable REST APIs for both producers and consumers.
Working with Docker and Kubernetes in a modern containerised environment.
Managing CI/CD pipelines and keeping an eye on application health and logs
Using AI coding assistants to speed up development tasks whilst writing clean, maintainable code.
Taking part in code reviews, troubleshooting, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies with the rest of the squad.
What they need from you:
At least 5 years of professional Java/J2EE experience.
Strong background with Spring, Spring MVC, JPA, and Hibernate.
Practical experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Good database skills across Oracle, MySQL, and/or NoSQL.
Familiarity with standard toolsets like Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
Hands-on familiarity with AI development tools like Chatgpt, Claude or Cline.
Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach.
