The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety leader who wants to make a meaningful impact across one of the world’s most diverse and dynamic regions?

As Director, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), APAC, you will shape and lead the execution of Stryker’s EHS strategy across our Asia Pacific operations. Working across manufacturing sites, distribution facilities, laboratories, commercial offices and field-based environments, you will help create workplaces where people can perform at their best, risks are proactively managed and environmental responsibility is embedded in the way we operate.

Based in Singapore, you will partner with regional business leaders, Global EHS leadership, Center of Excellence (COE) and cross-functional stakeholders to translate global strategy into practical, locally relevant action. You will lead and develop EHS talent, influence decisions at senior levels and drive consistent execution across diverse countries, cultures and regulatory environments.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with operational impact, helping protect our people, strengthen our businesses and advance Stryker’s commitment to making healthcare better.

What you will do

  • Lead APAC EHS strategy: Drive the regional execution of Stryker’s global EHS strategy, standards and priorities across manufacturing, distribution, laboratory, commercial and field-based operations.
  • Translate strategy into action: Partner with Global EHS leadership and the Center of Excellence to adapt and operationalise global programmes for the regulatory, cultural and business requirements of APAC markets.
  • Strengthen compliance and risk management: Promote compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety requirements, while ensuring robust processes are in place to identify hazards, assess risk and apply effective controls.
  • Improve regional performance: Establish and oversee EHS metrics, dashboards and reporting, using leading and lagging indicators to identify trends, strengthen accountability and support continuous improvement. Drive the pSIF (potentially serious injury fatality) program and metrics to reduce regional injuries.
  • Build capability and culture: Champion a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, leadership visibility, training and the development of EHS champions across the region.
  • Lead and develop talent: Coach and develop EHS professionals while influencing extended teams through a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders: Serve as a trusted adviser to business and functional leaders, integrating EHS considerations into operational planning, investment decisions and business growth.
  • Support incident and emergency response: Provide regional leadership during significant EHS incidents, ensuring effective investigations, corrective actions, lessons learned and appropriate communication across the organisation.
