HR Operations Representative
Salary Range: $52,000 - $65,000 Annually
Position Summary
Sun Chemical is seeking an HR Operations Representative to support the day-to-day administration of Human Resources processes and programs. In this role, you will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by providing timely support, maintaining employee data, coordinating HR transactions, and helping ensure a positive employee experience.
This position is ideal for an HR professional with hands-on experience in an HR customer service, HR shared services, or HR call center environment supporting employees and managers with questions related to payroll, benefits, leave administration, short-term disability (STD), and other HR programs. Successful candidates will be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave administration, and other HR programs.
- Manage a high volume of requests received through phone, email, shared mailboxes, and HR service systems.
- Support and maintain HR systems, processes, and employee records.
- Provide user support and guidance related to HR systems and processes.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Support I-9 compliance processes, reporting, and audits.
- Coordinate unemployment claim administration and respond to related inquiries.
- Respond to employment verification requests.
- Generate reports, conduct audits, and assist with HR data analysis.
- Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance reviews.
- Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional partners to support business initiatives and projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of employee information.
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience required.
- Experience in an HR customer service, HR shared services, or HR-focused call center environment supporting employees and managers with inquiries related to payroll, benefits, short-term disability (STD), leave administration, HR policies, and other HR programs is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with ADP and/or other HR systems.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other language) preferred.
- Experience supporting employees and managers in a multi-site, union, and HR shared services environment.
Language Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
