Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Lead AI Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions. The role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and building scalable AI applications using machine learning, Generative AI, and modern AI frameworks. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical AI solutions and guide the development team through implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and implement Generative AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and AI frameworks.
- Build, optimise, and deploy machine learning models and AI-powered applications.
- Design scalable AI solutions, APIs, and backend integrations for enterprise applications.
- Work with data engineering teams to prepare, process, and manage data required for AI/ML applications.
- Evaluate and integrate suitable LLMs, AI tools, libraries, and frameworks based on project requirements.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of AI applications.
- Lead technical discussions, review code, establish development standards, and mentor AI developers.
- Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions.
- Monitor deployed models and applications, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements.
Requirements:
- 7 - 10 years of experience in software development, AI/ML engineering, or related roles, with experience leading technical development.
- Strong programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML development.
- Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG-based applications.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with LLM frameworks and tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs and deploying AI applications in cloud or enterprise environments.
- Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, model evaluation, and AI application optimisation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, technical leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
