Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a motivated and hands-on Software Engineer to support software validation, deployment, and technical support activities for strategic customers. In this role, you will perform system-level testing, troubleshoot complex server and data center environments, develop automation scripts, and drive issue resolution through root cause analysis. The ideal candidate has strong software and system knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The position can be based either in the Netherlands or UK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform system-level software validation, deployment, and testing for strategic customers, including functional, stress, regression, and automation scripting for server environments.
• Provide technical support for strategic customer issues by performing root cause analysis, driving resolution, and ensuring clear internal coordination and timely communication.
• Support on-site deployment and validation activities at customer data centers, requiring travel to customer sites as needed.
• Lead or participate in failure analysis for critical issues and prepare 8D reports, clearly documenting root causes, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, deployment procedures, automation scripts, evaluation reports, and customer status dashboards.
• Participate in customer and internal issue review meetings, providing technical updates and recommendations.
• Support global team collaboration to maintain continuous coverage and timely response for high-priority projects across time zones.
• Enforce software and system quality standards while identifying opportunities to improve deployment processes, automation, and support efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in software engineering, systems deployment, automation, or technical support, preferably with data center or server industry experience.
• Proven experience in data center operations, server deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Solid understanding of networking, server hardware, virtualization, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call support.
• Ability and willingness to travel for on-site customer support when required.
• Experience with on-site deployment support or customer data center environments is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of validation methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking processes.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
