We are a small, high-output brand and content team covering brand, content, and SEO. We care about good writing, strong ideas and content that earns attention.
The role
We are hiring a content writer to write the pages that bring IT professionals to SuperOps through search and AI answers. You will write articles, explainers, guides, comparison pages and alternatives pages about AI, IT operations, and endpoint management.
You'll work from briefs that set the keyword, intent and angle, then research the topic properly and write something better than what already ranks. As you build confidence, you'll do more of your own keyword research and planning.
We want someone with product curiosity: you'll learn how SuperOps works and who uses it, so your writing addresses real problems instead of restating what's already out there.
Our buyers are IT leaders and MSP owners. They look for answers on Google and, increasingly, in AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. We want them to find SuperOps in both.
What you'll do
Write for search and AI answers
- Write search-focused articles, explainers and guides, and bottom-of-funnel comparison (SuperOps vs. X) and alternatives pages
- Understand who is searching and what they need before you write
- Check what already ranks and find what it misses
- Structure pages so readers, search engines and AI answer engines can all use them: clear headings, direct answers near the top, FAQs and tables
- Apply on-page SEO: titles, headings, meta descriptions and internal links
Research and get it right
- Research technical topics using product docs, credible sources and conversations with our product and subject matter experts
- Understand our customers roles and workflows so your writing speaks to their real problems
- Fact-check every claim, statistic and technical detail
- Use AI tools to speed up research and first drafts, then verify and edit every line yourself
- Follow the SuperOps style guide and apply editorial feedback to the next draft
Improve what's live
- Track rankings, traffic and AI citations for the pages you publish
- Refresh pages that are losing rankings or are out of date
- Add internal links between related pages
Collaborate
- Work with product marketing, product and customer-facing teams to get details right
- Suggest topics based on questions you see from customers and the market
What we're looking for
- 1 to 3 years of writing experience, ideally for a B2B technology, SaaS or IT company
- Excellent written English: clean grammar, a strong vocabulary, clear sentences and no filler
- Published SEO content with live URLs, and a sense of how it performed
- A working grasp of search intent, keyword research and on-page SEO
- Curiosity about technical subjects and the ability to explain them plainly
- Strong self-editing, proofreading and fact-checking habits
- Comfort using AI tools, and the ability to write well without them
- Openness to feedback and a habit of getting better draft by draft
Bonus points if you
- Have written about IT, cybersecurity, cloud or enterprise software
- Have written comparison or alternatives pages
- Have used Ahrefs, Semrush or Google Search Console
- Know how AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews pick their sources
- Have interviewed subject matter experts for a piece
- Have a journalism or research background
