The Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead will be responsible for driving the design, development and evolution of the organisation’s enterprise Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities. The role will provide leadership in building a modern, scalable and governed analytics ecosystem that enables data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

The role will lead the development of enterprise BI, management reporting, dashboards and analytics capabilities, while identifying and unlocking untapped and underutilized data assets to generate new and actionable business insights. It will support strategic business initiatives, performance management, customer intelligence, advanced analytics, AI/ML and enterprise-wide analytical requirements, while ensuring alignment with the organisation’s data and technology roadmap and strong data governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive the organisation’s enterprise Business Intelligence & Analytics strategy, ensuring BI and analytics capabilities are scalable, reliable and aligned with business priorities.
• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise BI, reporting, dashboard and analytics solutions, establishing standards, frameworks and best practices to ensure consistency, usability, performance and reliability.
• Oversee the delivery of management information, executive dashboards, business performance reporting and analytical solutions to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Translate complex business requirements into effective BI and analytical solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineering, Data Science and Technology teams.
• Identify, unlock and leverage untapped and underutilized data sets across the organisation to create new analytical capabilities and generate additional business value.
• Lead initiatives to discover, integrate and analyse new and existing data sources, transforming fragmented data into trusted and actionable insights.
• Drive the generation of new business insights, opportunities and intelligence from the organisation’s data assets to support revenue growth, customer experience, operational efficiency, risk management and strategic decision-making.
• Establish and maintain enterprise-wide KPIs, metrics, analytical definitions and reporting standards to ensure consistency and a single view of business performance.
• Drive the adoption of self-service BI and analytics, enabling business users to effectively access and utilize trusted data while maintaining appropriate governance and controls.
• Establish an insight-driven analytics culture, proactively identifying trends, patterns, opportunities and risks beyond predefined reporting requirements.
• Oversee BI and analytics processes and platform optimization to ensure efficient, high-performance and scalable analytical processing across the enterprise.
• Enable effective utilization of the organisation’s enterprise data platform, data warehouse, data lake and analytical environments for BI and analytics use cases.
• Identify and drive opportunities for advanced analytics, predictive analytics, AI/ML and intelligent automation to extract deeper value from the organisation’s data assets.
• Work closely with business units to identify high-value data and analytics use cases and convert them into measurable business outcomes.
• Ensure BI and analytics solutions adhere to the organisation’s data governance, data quality, information security, risk and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate emerging BI, analytics, visualization and AI technologies and recommend solutions aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction.
• Provide leadership in managing, mentoring and developing BI and Analytics teams, building technical and analytical capabilities within the Centre of Excellence.
• Establish strong collaboration across Business, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Governance and Technology functions to deliver end-to-end data and analytics solutions.

Educational Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics & Mathematics, Business Intelligence or a related field.
• Professional certification in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Cloud Analytics, Power BI, Tableau or a related field will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.
• Experience in leading or mentoring BI & Analytics teams, enterprise BI initiatives, analytics programmes or large-scale data-driven transformation projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience in identifying data-driven opportunities and converting data into actionable business insights and measurable business value will be an added advantage.
