Do you want to build a greenfield AWS platform with AI agents doing much of the implementation? Are you excited about setting the technical direction, reviewing AI-generated output critically and taking ownership of what goes live? Every day, Swiss Post exchanges thousands of files with partners, customers and internal systems, and we're moving this backbone to AWS. With you we're building the new platform differently: one engineer, working with AI agents from day one. You're among the first at Swiss Post to work this way, and what you learn will shape how other teams build software.
How you make a difference
- You design and implement our cloud-based file transfer platform end to end on AWS Transfer Family, including SFTP, FTPS and AS2.
- In addition, you build the supporting components with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK and AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, EventBridge and DynamoDB.
- You automate partner onboarding, user and key management as well as our CI/CD pipelines.
- At the same time, you build security and compliance into the platform through IAM, encryption, security policies, auditing and logging.
- You ensure reliable operations through monitoring, alerting and structured troubleshooting and take ownership when things go wrong (on call).
- Furthermore, you use AI tooling to generate code, tests and documentation, critically review the results and decide what is ready to go live.
- You share your learnings with the team, help shape how we use AI in engineering and work closely with the Product Owner and platform specialists on architecture and the roadmap.
What you have to offer
- You have hands-on AWS experience, ideally with AWS Transfer Family or comparable file transfer services such as SFTP, FTPS or AS2.
- In addition, you have solid skills in Python, TypeScript or Java and experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
- You have a strong foundation in infrastructure topics such as networking, security and Linux and can systematically identify root causes when things go wrong.
- Furthermore, you have hands-on experience using AI assistants in your day-to-day coding and can critically assess when to trust, challenge or improve their output.
- You take ownership of what you build, see things through to completion and are curious to learn about topics such as MFT products, event-driven architectures and Kafka.
- You have a very good spoken and written command of English and Knowledge of another national language is a plus.
You don't need to tick every box. If you have a strong cloud foundation and are curious about the rest, we'd be very happy to hear from you. We value potential, curiosity and the willingness to learn. Help us turn our company into the “Swiss Post of tomorrow”!
