What we need
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible forperforming preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs on automated systems and robotic equipment forSymbotic’sautomated and robotic systems at operations siteThis role supports safe and reliable operations while developing technical expertisein automation, electrical, and mechanical systems.This role is ideal for hands-on technical talent with experience in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, robotics, conveyors, and automated material-handling environments. The ideal candidate has worked in high-volume manufacturing, logistics, automotive, aerospace, food processing, distribution, fulfillment, or advanced manufacturing operations.
What we do
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on automated storage and retrieval systems, robotic vehicles, conveyors, lifts, sensors, motors, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues using work instructions, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Inspect, adjust, and replace wear components, sensors, belts, rollers, motors, and other equipment components.
Assistwith corrective maintenance activities to restore equipment and system functionality.
Safely operateautomation systems to support troubleshooting, recovery, validation, and robotic vehicle retrieval activities.
Maintain accuratemaintenance records, inspections, repairs, and partsusage within the CMMS system.
Support system uptime by identifyingpotential issues and escalating complex problems to senior technicians or leadership.
Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5Sstandards.
Follow all company, customer, and site safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and work-at-height procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Assistoperations by performing Cell Operator functions when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’llneed
Technical high school diploma, TSU, technical certification, engineering studies in progress, or equivalent training in mechatronics, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation, control systems, robotics, electrical, mechanical, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, automation, robotics, manufacturing equipment, conveyors, logisticsautomation, automotive, aerospace, or related technical environment.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, sensors, VFDs, servo motors, pneumatics, HMIs, CMMS documentation, and electro-mechanical repair stronglypreferred.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar automation platforms is highly desirable.
Experience in fast-paced production environments with a strong focus on safety, uptime, quality, teamwork, and root-cause troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret dashboards, queue logic, routing paths, and real-time KPIs to identifypotential system slowdowns or reliability concerns.
Understandingrobotic fleet behavior, battery logic, path optimization, and inter-vehicle coordination is preferred.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, reliability, quality work, and consistent attendance while meeting required productivity expectations.
Works independently with a high sense of urgency, follows procedures and manuals, and can support multiple technical priorities.
Basic conversational English preferred.
Our Environment
Site-based position.
The employee is frequentlyrequired to walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequentlyneeds to work at heights of up to 45 feet and in confined spaces as narrow as 24 inches. This includes tasks that require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must adhere to all safety requirements and protocols, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and fall protection safety protocols.
You will need to climb steep stairs to access the structure and may be requiredto regularly walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation setup.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
