What we need
The System Operator is responsible formonitoring, operating, and supporting Symbotic’s advanced automation system to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance across robotic vehicles, automated adapters, vertical lifts, and supporting software components. Based atoperations site,this role is critical to daily site execution by coordinating system activity, responding to stoppages, and partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and support teams to maintainoptimaluptime. The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, highly automated warehouse environment.
What you’lldo
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot automation systems, robotics, and the autonomous bot fleet to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Respond to system alerts, stoppages, and operational disruptions while coordinating production flow and minimizing downtime.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Customer teams, and Tiered Support to resolve issues, maintainthroughput, and maximize system uptime.
Ensure compliance with Symbotic, customer, and site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support production scheduling, order fulfillment, inventory movement, and overall operational readiness.
Troubleshoot software, automation, and equipment issues; identifycorrective actions and escalate technical concerns as needed.
Monitor dashboards, system queues, routing logic, and key performance metrics to identifybottlenecks and optimizeperformance.
Utilize automation software, diagnostic tools, SQL queries, log analysis, and basic scripting to support system monitoring and root cause investigations.
Coordinate workflow planning, maintenance activities, and system readiness efforts with site leadership and maintenance teams.
Maintain accuratedocumentation, operational reports, and records of system events, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
Serve as an on-site systems resource by developing expertisein automation workflows, robotics operations, and system functionality.
Train and support operators ontroubleshooting, standard work, and basic equipment procedures.
Perform additionalduties assigned.
English literacy preferred; may be required depending on site, customer, and business needs in Mexico.

The employee frequentlyneeds to work at heights of up to 45 feet and in confined spaces as narrow as 24 inches. This includes tasks that require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must adhere to all safety requirements and protocols, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and fall protection safety protocols.
You will need to climb steep stairs to access the structure and may be requiredto regularly walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation setup.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
