EHS Lead

The EHS Lead will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety strategies at the Palej facility. This role involves ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards, managing risk mitigation programs, and driving a culture of safety excellence among the workforce. You will lead initiatives to minimize environmental impact while maintaining optimal operational safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific EHS policies and procedures in alignment with corporate guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification exercises to ensure a safe working environment.
• Manage environmental compliance, including waste management, emission monitoring, and water treatment processes.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
• Maintain all necessary EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory filings for the facility.
• Drive safety culture initiatives and promote awareness through regular communication and engagement programs.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders regarding EHS compliance matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of professional experience in EHS management within the chemical or heavy manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of local and national environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Proven experience in managing safety systems, ISO certifications, and risk management frameworks.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
