Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Lead Data Engineer to join our client's team in a remote capacity. You will be responsible for designing and managing complex data solutions, leading a small team of engineers, and ensuring the seamless integration of data across various platforms. Responsibilities

• Develop and manage complex, end-to-end data solutions using PostgreSQL and Python.
• Lead and mentor a small team of 2-3 data engineers to ensure project success.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues efficiently.
• Ensure data security and compliance with all relevant industry regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows, processes, and solutions.
• Communicate proactively with stakeholders to align technical delivery with business needs.
• Build and test data processes that integrate with external applications via REST API and SOAP calls.
• Design and implement semantic data layers between applications and backend databases.

Requirements

• 7-11 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Deep expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically Lambda and Step Functions.
• Proven track record of delivering 3 to 4 end-to-end data engineering projects.
• Experience with real-time data processing and integration techniques.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data architecture and integration is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
