Python Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Python Data Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data warehousing solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize data architecture and ensure the seamless integration of complex data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process large-scale datasets.
• Build and maintain scalable data warehousing solutions using cloud-native technologies.
• Implement data modeling best practices to support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs to facilitate seamless data flow between systems.
• Optimize AWS infrastructure components including Lambda, Glue, and S3 for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to automate workflows using tools like Airflow and Terraform.
• Ensure data quality and security through rigorous testing and IAM policy management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance using CloudWatch.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Proven expertise in ETL/ELT development and data modeling.
• Experience with Snowflake and PySpark is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain is considered a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment based in Mumbai.
