Senior DevTool Engineer

This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing sophisticated software solutions that empower engineering teams and enhance developer productivity. You will lead the strategy and implementation of developer tooling, managing complex pipelines and infrastructure to support large-scale application development. As a senior leader, you will drive technical direction, mentor specialists, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated pipelines to standardize the ingestion and packaging of developer tooling.
• Manage software tool ingestion using Jenkins pipelines and custom Go-based applications.
• Create and manage Docker images for CI/CD pipelines and application runtime environments.
• Oversee the lifecycle and support of developer-focused software products and end-user tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Provide strategic technical leadership, mentoring team members and guiding multi-year assignments.
• Advise senior management on functional impacts, risk mitigation, and technology strategy.
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and documentation to track tool usage and trends.

Requirements

• 14-20 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Java, Golang, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong experience with database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy, manage budgets, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices and automated unit testing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and coach technical teams.
