The Software Engineer will design, develop and improve software that delivers business, platform and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. The role spans hands-on development, architecture decisions and close collaboration with product, design and engineering peers. As an Assistant Vice President, the successful candidate will also advise on complex issues, strengthen controls and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable and performant software solutions using industry-aligned languages, frameworks and tools
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies and ensure seamless integration with business objectives
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing among peers
- Follow secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability and reliability
- Stay current with industry technology trends and contribute to internal technology communities
- Advise on complex escalated issues and help identify and mitigate risk through new policies and procedures
- Engage stakeholders to communicate complex information and influence outcomes
Requirements
- 8 to 15 years of software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with distributed technologies including AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka and Spark
- Skilled in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation and testing frameworks
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and big data technologies
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven stakeholder engagement and high-quality delivery in agile environments
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills; agile methodology experience is desirable
Qualifications
