Syngenta's Commercial Team is seeking a Crop Protection Sales Intern. In this role, you will participate in a curriculum-based, integrated learning opportunity that prepares you to be a leader in territory sales in the agriculture industry.
As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.
Locations: Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan
Estimated Duration: May 2027 - August 2027
Accountabilities:
- Engage growers and resellers in solution-based, consultative selling to achieve sales targets.
- Manage and support the customer base in a defined geography.
- Advise channel partners on the presentation of products and promotional materials.
- Identify and analyze customer needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective ways of working that enable the Sales Team.
- Develop skills and experience to further your career by building product and agronomic expertise, as well as refining your communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
- Sophomore or junior class standing, working toward a bachelor’s degree, preferably in agriculture or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in student organizations and/or work experiences.
- Effective writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable moving violations record.
- Strong customer focus, business acumen, resilience, interpersonal savvy, and integrity.

Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
