Systems and Technology Research is an American defence research company that develops sensing, autonomy and decision systems for United States government customers. Its engineers work on radar and electro-optical signal processing, multi-sensor fusion, machine learning applied to intelligence problems, autonomous mission planning and cyber capabilities, typically under research contracts with defence agencies rather than as a product vendor. Headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts with offices in Arlington and Dayton, it employs mostly cleared technical staff and competes for work against the federally funded research centres and other defence laboratories.

STR is seeking a Lead Intelligence Analyst to join a new group focused on the complex test and evaluation challenges that exist in the modern world.

You will help build and guide an expert team capable of planning, executing, analyzing, and delivering decision-quality results at the speed the Department of War (DoW) requires to field advancements that continue to outpace our adversaries. STR's approach will emphasize product-based delivery of test solutions through an experienced, trusted team that can rapidly adapt to evolving customer needs.

What you will do:

  • Research, understand, and lead innovations in intelligence implementations for developmental systems under test. Identify unique and varied opportunities to apply intelligence proficiencies and resources to test activities.
  • Identify customer requirements for intelligence, digest unique problem sets, and apply analytic techniques to solve complex challenges in the test community.
  • Effectively use intelligence tools, resources, and contacts in the intelligence community to generate products tailored to customers' unique requirements, analyzing multi-domain threats across the core intelligence disciplines: SIGINT, MASINT, OSINT, GEOINT, and HUMINT.
  • Lead intelligence team members and connect internal and external customers with intelligence community resources to generate robust analytic analyses for dissemination to national defense and cleared defense industrial base leaders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and test teams to ensure systems under test achieve parity with pacing threats.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience; PhD with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience in intelligence analysis, intelligence operations, or a related field.
  • This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to support Special Access Programs (SAP), for which U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.
  • Expert understanding and experience with intelligence support to the U.S. developmental and operational test and evaluation enterprise.
  • Expertise in intelligence tools including Fade/MIST, Thresher, WedFISH, MIDB, MARS, and SNOOP.
  • Demonstrated leadership of professional intelligence teams.
  • Established connections within the intelligence community, with verifiable support to relevant areas of responsibility (AORs), including PACOM, CENTCOM, and EUCOM.
  • Military experience with an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Intelligence Studies.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working at or in close coordination with U.S. western test ranges, including the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, or comparable facilities.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions and acquisition processes.
  • Experience working in joint environments.
  • Certified instructor (ACC Classroom Instructor Course or equivalent)
