Its engineers work on radar and electro-optical signal processing, multi-sensor fusion, machine learning applied to intelligence problems, autonomous mission planning and cyber capabilities, typically under research contracts with defence agencies rather than as a product vendor. Headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts with offices in Arlington and Dayton, it employs mostly cleared technical staff and competes for work against the federally funded research centres and other defence laboratories.
