Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and classify reefers, identify defects, complete CIRs and prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Coordinate repairs, PTIs, washing and testing, ensuring reefers are compliant and ready for dispatch.
- Ensure reefers are correctly configured according to client requirements before release.
- Supervise and allocate tasks to reefer staff, manage rosters, leave and overtime, and ensure operational instructions are followed.
- Enforce PPE and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, safe and organised reefer bay.
- Liaise with clients, surveyors and internal departments regarding inspections, repairs, approvals and specific unit requirements.
- Ensure CIRs and related documentation are completed and submitted timeously, and provide management with regular updates on reefer operations and revenue.
