Cloudops Engineer I

Responsibilities:

• Owning the operational activities of innovative cloud-based solutions tailored to Tally's evolving cloud infrastructure.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams is pivotal, involving seamless coordination for implementing solution patches across diverse environments.
• To emphasize process automation to enhance operational efficiency and a proactive approach to monitoring and maintaining cloud solutions, ensuring optimal performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues.
• Will be responsible for owning deployment and monitoring of cloud-based solutions for Tally's cloud.
• Will be responsible for working with different teams, such as development, testing, and operations, to ensure that patches or updates are applied consistently across all environments (e. g., development, staging, and production).
• Identifying repetitive tasks and using appropriate tools (e. g., scripting, configuration management, and orchestration tools) to automate them.
• Will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the cloud-based Tally Applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Requirements:

• Must possess skills in configuration and troubleshooting of services in OCI / AWS cloud environments.
• Experience in deploying and managing applications in OCI / AWS cloud.
• AWS and OCI cloud operations are central to this role; candidates proficient in either platform are encouraged to apply. Structured training and certification support will be provided to build proficiency across both cloud environments.
• Experience in deploying, patching, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters using OCI OKE and/or AWS EKS, including workload management, node upgrades, and cluster health monitoring.
• Experience in rapid troubleshooting of infrastructure, OS, and application-related issues.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams involved in cloud and network projects.
• Demonstrated intermediate knowledge in the configuration and maintenance of Linux hosts with shell scripting.
• Knowledge of container technology such as Docker, with hands-on familiarity with OCI, OKE, and AWS EKS ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to define and deploy cloud resources in a consistent and automated manner.
• Intermediate experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewall rule management, network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and cloud security groups/NACLs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Intermediate experience in Python, along with working knowledge of AWS boto3
