Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:Â Â

The CAD Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for ongoing and new projects for Door Trims.Â

Roles and responsibilities: -Â

This position is responsible for the creationof CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Exterior Trims projects. Â

•Be responsible for designing of Exteriors, Underbody (Functional Black Trim) and Ornamentation commodities components - Aero trays, Wheel arch liners, Heatshields, Active Vanes / shutters, Upstream duct, Brake duct, Secondary Bulkhead, NVH pads, ADL, Metal brackets, Badges, Leaf screen, Frunk, Beautification Civer, etc.Â

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6 (Generative Shape design, Part Design, Assembly & Drawing workbench)Â
• Create parametric 3D proposals in Catia maintaining editable history, define materials & create components as well as assembly drawings with drawing standards wherever applicable.Â

•Packaging studies, environment check, kinematics simulation (if applicable) for various mechanisms with good knowledge of all regulatory and functional requirements.Â

•Very good understanding of DFM and DFAÂ

•Detailed Engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirementsÂ

•Ensure system, sub-system and components meets required interfaces, DVA, Optical and Perceived Quality targets.Â

•Ensure Regulatory compliance of system, sub-system and components.Â

•Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.Â

•Establishing and maintainingthe teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.Â

•Basic Knowledge of rules and reactions in CatiaÂ

•Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time Â

•Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence Â

•Be responsible for communication with all Stakeholderse.g. Design team, studio, legal, packaging, legal etc.Â

• Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met.Â

Essentials: - Â

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5Â
• Good all-rounddesign skills which must include past experienceof working on at least one of Exterior Trims/Ornamentation/Black Trim commodity.Â
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.Â

•Team Centre Engineering (TCE)Â

•Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements. Â

•Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels, Â
