About the Role

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced Administration/Office Manager to join our Emerald team. This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day administrative functions that support our transport and freight operations, ensuring the efficient movement of freight while maintaining high standards of customer service, accuracy, and compliance.

Working closely with operational leaders, drivers, and customers, you will coordinate administrative activities across freight handling, transport movements, customer enquiries, reporting, and depot processes. You will also provide leadership and support to the administration team, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced transport environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting a team of administration employees to achieve operational and customer service objectives.
  • Coordinating daily transport administration activities to support freight movements and depot operations.
  • Managing customer enquiries and service-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitoring freight handling and transport documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining operational records, reporting, and data integrity across key business systems.
  • Supporting operational leaders with reporting, process improvements, and performance initiatives.
  • Building strong working relationships with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Promoting a safe, productive, and customer-focused workplace culture.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a similar operational environment.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience supporting transport operations, freight movements, or customer service functions.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of a business.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and reporting.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using a range of business systems and technology platforms.
  • A strong commitment to safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
