Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise scale cloud data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Snowflake, Data Architecture, Cloud Platforms, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT Frameworks, and Modern Analytics Platforms, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and high performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement enterprise data warehouse solutions using Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Define data architecture, ingestion strategies, and data governance frameworks.
• Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Lead migration initiatives from traditional databases to Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize Snowflake architecture, performance, and cost management strategies.
• Design data models including dimensional, normalized, and Data Vault architectures.
• Implement Snowflake features such as Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Cloning, and Time Travel.
• Establish security, access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with business leaders, data engineers, architects, and analytics teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural governance.

Required Skills

• Strong hands on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Expertise in:
  • Data Warehousing Architecture
  • Advanced SQL & Performance Tuning
  • Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault)
  • ETL/ELT Design
  • Metadata and Data Governance
• Deep knowledge of:
  • Snowpipe
  • Streams & Tasks
  • Zero Copy Cloning
  • Time Travel
  • Secure Data Sharing
  • Materialized Views
  • Snowpark
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of database optimization, security, and scalability.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Matillion, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, or Fivetran.
• Knowledge of Python, PySpark, and Databricks.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Exposure to Data Mesh, Lakehouse, and Real Time Analytics architectures.
• Snowflake certifications are highly preferred.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Define Snowflake standards, best practices, and architectural frameworks.
• Drive cloud modernization and data platform transformation initiatives.
• Review solution designs and provide architecture guidance.
• Lead performance, scalability, and cost optimization efforts.
• Mentor development teams and establish data engineering best practices.
