Job Summary:
In this role, you will not just track timelines and budgets; you will deeply understand the systems architecture, anticipate technical bottlenecks, and speak the exact language of our backend engineering teams. You will manage large-scale software portfolios from concept to deployment, ensuring that strategic business goals align seamlessly with robust, scalable engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent, highly technical software initiatives using Agile/Scrum or Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
Act as the primary bridge between product management, business stakeholders, and engineering squads. Leverage your background in Java/JEE, microservices, and system design to evaluate technical risks and validate delivery estimates.
Communicate program health, milestone dependencies, resource constraints, and risk mitigations to executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
Proactively identify, track, and mitigate cross-team technical dependencies and architectural blockers before they impact release cycles.
Partner with Engineering Leads to ensure that the code promotional pipelines (CI/CD), software development lifecycles (SDLC), and automated testing frameworks align with overall program timelines.
Allocate human and financial resources efficiently across workstreams, managing vendor relations and contracted deliverables where necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
10+ years of total experience in the software industry, with 4+ years of proven experience explicitly managing complex technical programs (Program Manager).
At least 3-5 years of hands-on software engineering experience in your past, specifically developing enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
Strong conceptual understanding of modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and database systems (SQL/NoSQL).
Deep proficiency in managing large backlogs, sprint planning, and release planning across multiple engineering pods using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
The pay range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
