Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong emphasis on Jest to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps practices and a passion for automation, continuous integration, and deployment. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our platform's reliability and performance while ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing frameworks, specifically Jest, into the development lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement security best practices across the platform.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our platform.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience with Jest for testing JavaScript applications.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Experience in working with microservices architecture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 5 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
