Job Summary

We are looking for a Sr. Python Developer with 8-12 years of professional software development experience & heavy Apache Kafka experience, and Telecom domain knowledge. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, event driven, high performance applications. The position combines hands on development with technical leadership, event driven architecture oversight, and stakeholder collaboration.

• Key Responsibilities
• Full Stack Development: Lead end to
• end design of applications using Python (FastAPI), Microservices.
• Event Driven Architecture: Design and implement scalable, real time data pipelines and streaming architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Technical Leadership: Define application architecture, data streaming standards, coding practices, and system governance.
• Mentorship & Quality: Guide and mentor developers, perform code reviews, and ensure rigorous quality compliance.
• Domain Alignment: Translate complex telecom requirements into highly scalable, decoupled technical solutions.
• Integration & Optimization: Drive API design (FastAPI), event schemas, asynchronous messaging, and end to end system performance optimization.
• Cross functional Collaboration: Partner with product owners, architects, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver robust software.
• Security & Reliability: Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, data retention policies, and security of applications and messaging clusters.
• AI Productivity: Leverage AI assisted development tools (Copilot, Codex, Claude, etc.) to boost productivity and code quality.
• Operations Support: Oversee production releases, event stream troubleshooting, defect resolution, and continuous improvement.

• Technical Skills
• Backend & Microservices: Strong hands on experience in Python (FastAPI), REST APIs, and decoupled Microservices architecture.
• Event Streaming & Messaging: Deep expertise in Apache Kafka (topic configuration, partitioning strategy, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry).
• Front end Knowledge: knowledge of ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Databases: Mastery of PostgreSQL, relational database design, and optimization for high throughput streaming data.
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands on experience with Docker containerisation; exposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is highly preferred.
• Development Workflows: Proficient with Git for version control and complex collaborative branching workflows.
• AI Tooling: Familiarity with AI powered developer tools (GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, etc.) for enhanced coding efficiency.
• System Design: Strong grasp of distributed systems, concurrency, event sourcing, and data consistency patterns.
• Domain & Leadership
• Telecom Domain: Proven experience in Telecom (Telecom Network Inventory, OSS/BSS, or real time event mediation preferred).
• Agile delivery: Experience leading and scaling technical teams in Agile / Scrum environments.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills across cross functional business units.

The pay range for this role is $115,000- $10,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
