Database Administrator

Tech Partners is recruiting a Database Administrator for a growing financial services organization that depends on high-performing, highly available database systems to support mission-critical business operations.
This is an opportunity for a DBA who enjoys solving performance problems, digging into execution plans, and understanding what is really happening under the hood. You'll join a collaborative Database Services team where Oracle performance tuning is a major focus, while also gaining hands-on experience across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.

What You'll Be Working On
You'll support a variety of database initiatives across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments, including:
- Analyzing and tuning Oracle SQL performance
- Reviewing execution plans and identifying optimization opportunities
- Supporting Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments
- Administering SQL Server instances across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Assisting with database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Improving indexing strategies and database performance
- Contributing to cloud-first database initiatives
- Building documentation, operational standards, and runbooks
- Partnering with developers to improve application and database efficiency

What We're Looking For
Required
- 3+ years of database administration experience in a production environment
- Experience supporting Oracle databases
- Ability to analyze SQL performance and read execution plans
- Strong SQL skills
- Exposure to SQL Server administration
- Experience working in enterprise environments supporting business-critical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Interest in continuing to develop expertise in database performance tuning
Preferred
- Oracle RAC and/or Data Guard experience
- SQL Server performance tuning experience
- PostgreSQL exposure
- Experience with database upgrades, migrations, or patching projects
- Cloud database experience in Azure or AWS
- Oracle Enterprise Manager experience
- Experience creating technical documentation and operational procedures
