  • Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, and Recruiting on employee-related activities.
  • Support employee transitions associated with government contract awards and changes.
  • Develop and improve HR processes, procedures, and documentation.

HR Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
  • Oversee Form I-9 compliance, employment verification, and personnel recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate required HR reporting, compliance training, and policy updates.
  • Support applicable federal contractor employment requirements and audit readiness.
  • Identify HR compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.

Employee Engagement and Relations

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR policies and workplace matters.
  • Develop and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Conduct employee surveys, gather feedback, and recommend improvements.
  • Support employee communications, company events, and activities that strengthen workplace culture.
  • Assist managers with employee relations, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive and consistent employee experience across office, hybrid, remote, and customer-site employees.

Performance Management and HR Improvement

  • Coordinate the annual performance review process, including manager communications, tracking, and reporting.
  • Support employee development, training, and career growth initiatives.
  • Maintain HR metrics and reporting, including headcount, turnover, and employee engagement.
  • Recommend improvements to HR systems and processes that support organizational growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong hands-on HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Experience independently managing multiple HR functions, preferably as a primary HR resource in an organization of approximately 100-300 employees.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Experience developing or supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR experience in a federal government contracting or IT professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with federal contractor employment requirements, including SCA and applicable EEO/OFCCP obligations.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or customer sites.
  • Experience improving HR processes, performance management programs, and employee engagement activities.
