Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to work on high-performance applications supporting Equity Derivatives trading.
The role involves designing and developing low-latency, high-throughput systems used for real-time trading, pricing, market data and trade processing. The ideal candidate should have strong Core Java engineering skills along with hands-on experience in Equity Derivatives or front-office trading technology.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop and enhance high-performance Java applications supporting Equity Derivatives trading.
- Build highly concurrent, multithreaded systems capable of processing high volumes of real-time transactions and market data.
- Optimize applications for low latency and high throughput.
- Develop components supporting trading, pricing, risk, RFQ, order/execution or trade lifecycle workflows.
- Work with real-time market data and messaging systems.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and perform JVM/application-level performance tuning.
- Work closely with trading, quantitative, business and technology teams to translate trading requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop resilient and fault-tolerant services for business-critical trading applications.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, production releases and troubleshooting.
Mandatory Skills :
Core Java :
- Strong hands-on Core Java development experience.
- Excellent understanding of: Multithreading, Concurrency, Java Collections, Data structures and algorithms, Memory management, Garbage Collection, JVM performance tuning, Object-oriented design and design patterns.
Performance Engineering :
- Strong experience developing applications where latency and throughput are critical.
- Candidate should understand concepts such as: Low-latency application design, High-throughput processing, Thread optimization, Memory/GC optimization, Concurrent programming, Application profiling and performance tuning.
Trading / Derivatives Domain :
- Hands-on experience working with Equity Derivatives or electronic trading systems is highly preferred.
- Candidates should have exposure to one or more of: Equity Derivatives, Options / Futures / Swaps, Electronic Trading, Front Office Trading, Pricing, Risk, Market Data, RFQ, Order Management / Execution, Trade Booking, Trade Lifecycle.
