Job Description

Teledyne Micropac is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments

What you'll do

The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection, sampling inspection and final inspection of electronic parts and assemblies to assure all quality standards are met in accordance with applicable engineering drawings, specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Review quality records, manufacturing documentation, and inspection data to verify compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications.
  • Assist with receiving inspection. Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials to vendor.
  • Complete acceptance prior to shipment and supports customer source inspection.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and improve product quality.
  • Assists engineering and manufacturing in the investigation of non-conformities and record results to ensure proper segregation of accepted and rejected products.
  • Inspect and interpret first article orders.
  • Assist with internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory audits, including preparation of records and corrective action follow-up.
  • Support training initiatives and ensure personnel are following approved process requirements
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting coworkers, and assisting in departmental objectives.
  • Participate in cross-training activities to gain proficiency in multiple product lines, manufacturing processes, and quality functions.
  • This position may also interface with Customers, Suppliers and /or Regulatory agencies as appropriate.
  • Reports quality problems or findings to Quality Assurance Manager and follows up to ensure that corrective action has/will take place.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years electronic inspection - required
  • High school diploma - required
  • Meet all attendance requirements - required
