About the role
The Commercial Graduate Programme includes two placements: Stretch Placement: A role outside your academic discipline that broadens your commercial awareness and develops new skills Core Placement: A role aligned to your interests and career aspirations within the Commercial function Each placement is structured around clear objectives and business outcomes, allowing you to make a visible impact while building your professional experience. Throughout the programme, you'll gain exposure to a variety of commercial disciplines, which may include: Buying and Category Management Product development and innovation Supplier and stakeholder relationship management Space, range, and merchandising planning Pricing, promotions, and profitability analysis Customer insight and market trends Supply chain and stock planning Sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives You'll work with internal teams and external suppliers, analyse data to support decision-making, and help deliver products and propositions that meet the needs of our customers. By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a strong understanding of how commercial decisions drive business performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth, preparing you for a successful career within Tesco Ireland. Salary: €35,000 Start date: 6 September 2027

You will be responsible for
Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll take part in a structured 18-month development programme that includes: Upskilling workshops focused on commercial, retail, and business skills Personal development sessions to build confidence, resilience, and leadership capability Store visits and supplier experiences to deepen your understanding of the customer and the retail landscape Networking opportunities with graduates, senior leaders, and colleagues across Tesco Ireland Mentoring and coaching from experienced professionals who will support your growth and development At Tesco, graduates are given meaningful responsibility from the start, supported by a strong network of colleagues who are invested in helping you succeed.
You will need
A genuine curiosity and desire to learn, develop and grow both personally and professionally. A positive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to embrace change and approach challenges as opportunities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to share ideas and ask questions. A collaborative approach and a willingness to work effectively as part of a team.
