SDET 3

We are looking for an experienced SDET 3 to drive quality engineering initiatives across our products. In this role, you will define the overall testing strategy, lead a team of SDETs and QA engineers, and establish scalable automation frameworks that ensure high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and champion a culture of continuous testing.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Quality Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Establish tools, frameworks, and best practices for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Ensure quality gates are integrated into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software releases.
• Track and report key quality metrics, including test coverage, defect density, regression rates, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and improve overall product quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner with engineering and product leadership to define release quality standards and testing strategies.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines.
• Coordinate with support and incident response teams to investigate production issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure testability and maintainability of applications.

Requirements:

• 6-9 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or SDET roles.
• Prior leadership or team management experience.
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: Java. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of test automation methodologies and software quality best practices.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive quality initiatives across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience scaling QA or SDET teams.
• Exposure to fintech, ride-hailing, e-commerce, or other high-scale consumer platforms.
• Experience with performance, API, and end-to-end automation testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices is a plus.
