Join The Economist Group, a global media and information-services company. As a Senior Web Engineer, you will design and build high-quality web products and services, working across frontend and backend systems. You will contribute to technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in testing, observability, and CI/CD. The role requires strong fullstack experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, experience with modern frontend frameworks, and hands-on experience with AWS.

Missions

  • Design, build, and evolve scalable web applications across the stack, including frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance frontends using modern frameworks such as React and Next.js, and build and maintain backend services and APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to shape solutions end-to-end, and contribute to technical direction.
