QA Automation Engineer (SDET)

Areas you can work on include:

Test Analysis and Design - analyzing requirements, designing and documenting Test Cases, Checklists, and other QA assets.

Collaboration with Manual QA and Development Teams - working closely with both teams under Lean Agile methodology to ensure product quality and efficient delivery.

Test Automation - developing automated test cases based on manual ones, maintaining and improving the automation framework, and ensuring it aligns with modern technologies and best practices.

Regression and Release Testing - executing regression test suites, analyzing failed test results, identifying root causes, and assisting with test runs during release cycles.

Infrastructure and Deployment Support - investigating and addressing test and deployment-related infrastructure issues, ensuring smooth execution and stability of the test environments.

Continuous Quality Improvement - supporting the QA process across the team, identifying areas for optimization, and contributing to higher reliability and performance of automated pipelines.

Team Involvement - participating in team meetings, including planning, kickoffs, and demos, to stay aligned with project goals and upcoming features.

Our testers and developers are from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan. Team meetings are typically conducted in Russian; our JIRA tickets and documentation are in English.

Our browser-based sim game app is written in Angular, Node, and PostgreSQL. Our team has built the world’s most advanced browser-based negotiation business game app, which our clients love.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Web UI test automation, including the designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch. Experience with Playwright and TypeScript is a plus; however, we are open to candidates with other toolsets, provided you’re happy to work with Playwright and TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of locators, automation patterns, configuration management, reporting, and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI or other Continuous Integration systems.

• Solid experience with Git (branching strategies, conflict resolution).

• Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or another language used for test automation. We value strong engineering fundamentals and are open to different backgrounds, with an expectation to work with JavaScript/TypeScript in our environment.

• Understanding of QA processes, including test analysis, test design, requirement analysis, and writing high-quality automated tests.

• Experience with REST API testing and validation.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.

• Strong communication skills in both Russian and English.

• Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
