UEFI/BIOS developer

We are looking for a skilled UEFI/BIOS Firmware Developer with hands-on experience in low-level firmware development, debugging, integration, and validation for enterprise server platforms. The candidate should have strong C/C++ programming skills, knowledge of x86 architecture, and experience working with UEFI firmware environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, review, and integrate UEFI/BIOS firmware for enterprise server platforms.
• Analyze boot flow, hardware initialization, and OS handoff issues.
• Troubleshoot ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe enumeration, CPU, and memory initialization issues.
• Use firmware logs, debugging tools, and hardware diagnostics to identify and resolve defects.
• Implement firmware fixes and support integration, build management, and regression testing.
• Work on Secure Boot, TPM, and other firmware security-related issues.
• Debug BIOS/UEFI interactions with BMC, operating systems, and hardware components.
• Collaborate with hardware, BMC, OS, and validation teams to resolve platform-level issues.
• Use Git or other version-control tools for source code management and code reviews.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 3+ years of experience in UEFI/BIOS or low-level firmware development.
• Strong programming knowledge in C/C++.
• Hands-on experience with EDK II / EDK2 / TianoCore or equivalent UEFI development environments.
• Good understanding of x86 server architecture (Intel and/or AMD).
• Experience in boot flow debugging and platform initialization.
• Knowledge of ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe, CPU, and memory initialization.
• Understanding of Secure Boot, TPM, and firmware security concepts.
• Experience with firmware builds, integration, debugging, and validation.
• Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Linux Kernel and Linux Device Driver development.
• Bootloader development (U-Boot / GRUB).
• Coreboot firmware development.
• BMC, IPMI, and Redfish.
• Embedded firmware and board support packages (BSP).
• Hardware debugging and server platform validation.
