Job Summary

• The Telemarketer will be responsible for contacting prospective and existing customers by telephone to promote the company’s products and services, generate leads, schedule appointments, and support sales conversion.
• The candidate must be confident, persuasive, professional, and comfortable communicating with customers over the phone.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.
• Introduce and explain the company’s products and services.
• Generate qualified leads for the sales team.
• Follow up on enquiries and previous customer interactions.
• Schedule appointments and sales meetings where necessary.
• Conduct telephone surveys and collect customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, customer responses, and follow-up activities.
• Handle basic customer enquiries professionally.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly call and lead-generation targets.
• Follow approved call scripts and communication guidelines.
• Escalate complex customer enquiries to the appropriate department.
• Submit daily and weekly telemarketing reports.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of calls completed.
• Number of qualified leads generated.
• Appointment conversion rate.
• Call-to-sale conversion rate.
• Quality of customer interactions.
• Accuracy of call records and reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

• SSCE, OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous experience in telemarketing, telesales, customer service, or call centre operations is an advantage.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Clear speaking voice and good listening skills.
• Ability to persuade customers without being aggressive.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain customer records.
