The Core Engineering Markets team is responsible for providing Tower’s trading strategies access to a wide and continually growing range of financial markets globally, including but not limited to providing access to new markets, developing cutting edge technical capabilities, ensuring optimal performance, and providing expert market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Designing and architecting a high-frequency trading platform for cryptocurrency markets, which includes collecting quotes and trades from and disseminating orders to exchanges around the world
• Managing and mentoring a global team of developers across multiple regions
• Working closely with traders, business management, and other stakeholders to prioritize projects and deliver business-critical solutions
• Optimizing this platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques to minimize latency
• Developing systems that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 10+ years of experience with C++ development, preferably in a trading environment
• Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams, including distributed or global teams
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex, high-performance software systems
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, exchange APIs (WebSocket/HTTP), and cloud technologies is a significant plus
• A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming in C++
• Brilliant problem-solving abilities
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills in English for business purposes
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a plus
• Good understanding of Linux operating system and Networking (TCP/IP and UDP) is a plus
• Knowledge of Python and shell scripts is a plus
