Role Overview

The Group Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) function plays a critical role in protecting TP ICAP from financial crime risk and ensuring compliance with global regulatory obligations.

As a member of the AFC team, you will support and lead on the delivery of key global AFC activities across governance, management information, policy, training, regulatory engagement, and remediation programmes. Working closely with Regional Leads, MLROs, and senior stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance on anti-financial crime requirements while driving consistency, continuous improvement, and effective implementation of global standards across the organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic AFC initiatives, support regulatory responses, and help shape the evolution of the Group's financial crime framework in a complex international environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of core AFC activities, including governance reporting, management information, policies, training, and thematic reviews.

  • Provide subject matter expertise across customer due diligence (CDD/KYC), sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, counter-terrorist financing, proliferation financing, and wider financial crime risk management.

  • Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance that supports effective control implementation across the Group.

  • Manage and coordinate AFC projects, remediation activities, and regulatory commitments, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and priorities.

  • Build strong relationships with Regional Leads, MLROs, and senior stakeholders to drive consistent application of AFC policies and standards.

  • Coordinate cross-functional and regional contributions, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies while maintaining delivery momentum.

  • Support regulatory examinations, audit activity, and remediation programmes, ensuring actions are effectively implemented and embedded.

  • Leverage management information, quality assurance results, and thematic analysis to identify trends, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Promote collaboration and best practice sharing across regions to support a globally consistent AFC framework.

Experience & Competencies

Essential

  • Experience within Financial Crime Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Anti-Financial Crime functions within financial services.

  • Technical knowledge across CDD/KYC, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, counter-terrorist financing, and proliferation financing requirements.

  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and provide pragmatic, risk-based guidance to business and compliance stakeholders.

  • Proven experience managing multiple deliverables simultaneously within a fast-paced, regulated environment.

  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively at senior levels.

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to translate data, trends, and assurance findings into meaningful actions and recommendations.

  • Organisational and project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes against competing priorities.

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, including producing executive-level reports and governance materials.

Desired

  • Experience supporting regulatory reviews, audits, remediation programmes, or control enhancement initiatives.

  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and navigating differing regulatory requirements.

  • Exposure to AFC transformation, change, or continuous improvement programmes.

  • Experience providing leadership, coaching, or oversight within a matrix or global environment.
