Account Manager

What You Will Be Doing:

The Account Manager - Life Sciences is a hybrid sales role focused on both growing existing client relationships and developing new business. You will manage and expand a portfolio of Life Sciences accounts while actively prospecting into new organizations and identifying new opportunities across TransPerfect’s service lines. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing account management with business development - building strong relationships with current clients, uncovering additional opportunities within those accounts, and consistently hunting for new logos.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop relationships with existing Life Sciences clients, serving as a key point of contact and trusted business partner

• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts by building relationships across departments, business units, and key stakeholders

• Prospect and develop new business within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and broader Life Sciences industries

• Research prospective clients and key decision-makers using LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, professional directories, market research, and other prospecting strategies

• Conduct consistent outbound activity, including cold calling, emailing, networking, and other creative approaches to generate new opportunities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of both new-logo opportunities and expansion opportunities within existing accounts

• Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, organizational structure, priorities, and potential needs across TransPerfect’s solutions

• Educate prospective and existing clients on TransPerfect’s Life Sciences capabilities, technology, workflows, pricing, and value proposition

• Negotiate rates, project scope, and deadlines with prospective and existing clients

• Partner closely with production and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and with exceptional service

• Consistently follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction while identifying opportunities for additional growth

• Stay informed on trends, key organizations, and developments across the Life Sciences industry

• Develop strategies to penetrate new accounts and expand TransPerfect’s presence within existing strategic accounts

• Meet and exceed individual revenue, account growth, and new business development goals

• Your experience includes:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree

• Excellent English communication (written and verbal) skills

• Proven sales life cycle experience - lead generation through business closing

• Proven track record in achieving sales targets

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
