Team Overview
This role is specifically intended to support TransUnion Mexico and the broader LATAM region while operating as part of the current Business Intelligence team. The initial reporting alignment is to Joe Memmolo. Because the position is designed around sustained support for Mexico and LATAM, its longer-term organizational alignment may evolve as business needs, operating models, and leadership responsibilities develop. Any future reporting change would not alter the role’s core purpose: delivering trusted, scalable, and actionable business intelligence for TransUnion Mexico and LATAM. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
The Consultant will serve as a member of the Business Intelligence team and provide dedicated reporting and analytics support for TransUnion Mexico and the broader Latin America (LATAM) region. The role will create end-to-end business intelligence solutions that enable internal stakeholders to make informed decisions and operate more effectively. The position combines hands-on technical delivery, business analysis, stakeholder partnership, and project execution.
The ideal candidate brings creativity, analytical depth, and strong technical skills; is comfortable leading initiatives across collaborative, cross-functional teams; and can balance immediate business needs with scalable, maintainable, long-term solutions. The role will support reporting initiatives across business areas that may include Sales, Delivery and Implementation, Operational Tickets and Cases, Marketing, Billing and Revenue, and Forecasting, with a strong emphasis on Salesforce data and reporting.
- Partner closely with TransUnion Mexico and LATAM stakeholders to understand business problems, define solution requirements, establish priorities, and manage project plans and deliverables.
- Translate reporting-oriented business needs into scalable, practical, and user-centered analytics solutions.
- Identify, evaluate, and acquire the data assets required to support reporting and analytical outcomes.
- Transform, blend, and validate data from multiple sources to create trusted datasets and reporting products.
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows, semantic or analytical datasets, dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI.
- Own the full solution development lifecycle, including discovery, data analysis, scope estimation, architecture, design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, user enablement, and ongoing maintenance and enhancement.
- Apply repeatable standards for data quality, documentation, change management, release readiness, and solution support.
- Communicate progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and business audiences in both Spanish and English.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Advanced hands-on experience with ETL and data preparation tools, preferably Alteryx, together with strong SQL skills.
- Advanced hands-on experience developing dashboards and visualizations in Power BI or a comparable enterprise visualization platform.
- Experience working with Salesforce objects, fields, and reporting use cases. Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud is valuable.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, data transformation, data quality, and reporting architecture concepts.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery, or demonstrated ability to develop these skills, is preferred as these technologies may play a significant role in the future-state data and analytics environment.
- Working knowledge of Excel and delivery-management tools such as Jira.
- Experience operating in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
- Practical project-management knowledge, including planning, estimation, dependency management, risk management, and delivery tracking.
- Five or more years of experience working with business data for analytics and reporting, with meaningful emphasis on Salesforce reporting or CRM analytics.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end reporting solutions for internal business audiences.
- Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional initiatives and partnering with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting stakeholders or business operations in Mexico and across other Latin American markets.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, Salesforce Data Cloud, Domo, Tableau, or comparable data and analytics platforms.
- Experience supporting Marketing Analytics, Sales Analytics, Service or Case Analytics, revenue reporting, or forecasting.
- Experience developing reusable datasets, governed metrics, or shared reporting assets for multiple stakeholder groups.
