Team Overview

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Sales in developing and progressing customer opportunities from a technical perspective.
• Partner with Sales throughout the opportunity lifecycle, leading technical discovery and understanding customer and commercial requirements.
• Translate customer and commercial requirements into clear technical requirements and design solutions that address customer needs.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to technical and business audiences.
• Support technical proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and solution documentation.
• Identify technical dependencies, risks, and implementation requirements to help ensure proposed solutions are feasible.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Program Management, and other specialists throughout the pre-sales process.
• Ensure a clear technical handover from pre-sales to implementation.
• Provide customer and market feedback to relevant internal teams.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong technical discovery and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business and customer requirements into technically feasible solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
• Strong customer focus and commercial awareness, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams.
• Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities in parallel.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, technical pre-sales, solution design, and customer platform integrations.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, HTTPS/HTTP, TLS/mTLS, certificates, authentication, and common SaaS security concepts.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, API authentication/authorisation, and the ability to interpret API documentation and explain integration requirements.
• Basic Amazon Web Services (AWS) knowledge, including cloud architectures, network connectivity, and encryption in transit.
• Ability to create and present solution architecture and integration diagrams, troubleshoot across application and network layers, and use basic scripting or programming for API testing and troubleshooting.

We’re also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up, we’re happy to support your career development and growth in:

• Familiarity with API testing and troubleshooting tools such as Postman and cURL.
• Relevant AWS, networking, cloud, or security certifications.

The minimum salary for this position, according to the Austrian collective bargaining agreement, is EUR 3.954,00 per month for a full-time employment. Depending on professional experience and/or qualifications, your actual salary is intended to be significantly higher.
